Ingredients For braised red cabbage and apples

2 Tbspcanola oil

1 cred onions, chopped

1/2 cred onions, chopped

8 cred cabbage, thinly sliced

2 tspminced garlic

2 lgred apples, peeled, cored, chopped

1 cchicken broth
-
1/3 cred wine vinegar

2 Tbspbrown sugar

1bayleaf
-
salt and pepper to taste
How To Make braised red cabbage and apples

1In lg saucepan, over medium heat, heat oil. Add onion and cook 5 mins, stirring. Stir in cabbage, garlic and apples.

2Cook, stirrin often for 5-8 mins, or until cabbage wilts. Stir in chicken broth, vinegar, sugar and bayleasf.

3Reduce heat. Cover, simmer, stirring occasionaly, 45 mins. Remove bayleaf. season w/ salt and pepper.
