Ingredients For bev's red cabbage

  • 4 c
    shredded red cabbage
  • 2 c
    chopped unpeeled apples
  • 2 Tbsp
    bacon fat
  • 1/4 c
    vinegar
  • 1/4 c
    water
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    caraway seed
  • 1 dash
    pepper

How To Make bev's red cabbage

  • 1
    Melt bacon fat in skillet. Add cabbage, apples and all other ingredients. Cover and cook till tender, about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
