green rice
My friend Ramona Searcy shared this fabulous recipe with me over 30 years ago. It has been a family favorite every since. (It is so popular that my sister expects me to drop everything I'm doing to recite it to her every year. I'm posting it here for Teri.)

Ingredients For green rice

4eggs

1/2 cbutter, melted
-
1 cmilk
-
1 pkgcooked broccoli

2 ccooked rice
-
1 lbvelveeta, cubed

1small onion, diced
How To Make green rice

1Put eggs, butter, milk, and broccoli in a blender and puree.

2Pour mixture over cooked rice, onions, and cheese and stir together. (Yes, this will look very green!)

3Pour the combined mixture into a greased casserole dish and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
