This rice recipe I got from an old cookbook of mine. It is delicious. We had it with salmon tonight.

Ingredients For savory rice

1 Tbspoil (i used canola)

1 Tbspbutter

2 Tbspminced yellow onion

1 clovegarlic, minced

3 cchicken broth

3 cuncooked instant rice

1/2 tspsalt

1/2 tspaccent
-
1 tsppaprika
-
2 Tbspfresh, chopped parsley or 1 tbsp. dried parsley

1/4 tspsavory
How To Make savory rice

1Combine oil and butter in a small skillet. Heat until butter melts and add onions and garlic. Saute until onions and garlic are golden.

2In a saucepan, bring your chicken broth to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in salt, accent, paprika, parsley and savory. Add onion and garlic in oil. Stir in rice and cover with a tight fitting lid.

3Let pan sit for about 15 minutes then fluff with a fork and serve.
