1 Tbspextra-virgin olive oil

1 cbrown rice

3 cwater

1 lgred onion

1/2 cground sausage

1 cansliced chestnuts

How To Make sausage and stir-fry brown rice

1place 1 tablespoon oil in saucepan, add 1 c. Brown rice, and 3 c. Water

2Bring to boil, cover with tight fitting lid. Lower heat and simmer for 26 minutes. DO NOT lift lid until time is up. Fluff with fork.

31 c. Uncooked rice makes 8 one-half c. Servings

4Place 2 tbsp. Oil in stainless steel pan or Wok add 1 c. Cooked rice. Sprinkle with minced garlic, red chili powder, cayenne, cumin, paprika, black pepper, add 3 tbsp. Chopped nuts, sliced water chestnuts, snap peas, French beans or your choice of fresh vegetable. If adding your choice of meat or fish, such as shrimp, beef or sausage. Cook separately first Then stir-fry with rice, seasonings and vegetables until browned. Lift and Stir while frying until done. For a delicious meal.
