I learned to make this from my Father-in-law. He used cubed frozen potatoes, but over the years we discovered we liked it even better with shredded potatoes. I usually only make this on Holidays and my husband's birthday as it is one of his most favorite foods in the world! Hope your family enjoys it as much as mine does. Also, you can use crushed potato chips, cornflake or cracker crumbs on top if you prefer but we've always made it with french fried onions and boy are they tasty!

Ingredients For wayne's favorite cheesey potato casserole

1 can10-3/4 oz.) condensed cream of chicken soup

1(16 oz.) carton of sour cream

1 pkgfrozen shredded-style hash browns, thawed

2 pkg(8 oz.) shredded mild cheddar cheese

2 Tbspmelted butter

1 canfrench fried onions

1Mix all ingredients together thoroughly

2Top with french fried onions.

3Pour into a 9x13 glass casserole. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes.
