Ingredients For scalloped potatoes

  • 2 1/2 lb
    thinly sliced potatoes
  • 2 c
    thinly sliced onion
  • CHEESE SAUCE
  • 9 Tbsp
    unsalted butter
  • 6 Tbsp
    all-purpose flour
  • 4 c
    milk
  • 2 c
    shredded sharp cheddar
  • BREAD CRUMB TOPPING MIXTURE
  • 1 c
    bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp
    granulated garlic
  • 2 Tbsp
    onion powder
  • 1 oz
    melted butter

How To Make scalloped potatoes

    Slice Potatoes and onion. Layer in pan.

    Cheese Sauce: In sauces pot melt butter and add flour. Than add milk and cook til thicken. Than add cheese and cook till cheese is melted. Pour over potatoes and onion.

    Bread Crumb Topping: Mix together bread crumbs, granulated garlic, onion powder and melted butter. Top potato,onion, and cheese sauce, Cover with tin foil and bake a 400 degrees for about 1 hour. Remove tin foil and cook an another 10 minutes till golden brown. Let set for 10 minutes and serve.
