fantastic french fries
(1 rating)
An easy and very tasty recipe for oven-baked crispy french fries. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce. These are so good. Much better than any fast food fries.
Blue Ribbon Recipe
Thanks to the oven temperature and being coated in olive oil, these oven-baked french fries are crispy and delicious. The seasoning has a slight garlic flavor and keeps these fries from being boring. Perfect as a snack or alongside your favorite burger. They really are fantastic!

How To Make fantastic french fries
Test Kitchen Tips
Make sure to cut your potatoes in a consistent size. Some of ours were a little bigger, so we let the fries cook an extra five minutes.
-
1Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Grease a baking sheet.
-
2Place sliced potatoes in a colander; sprinkle sugar over potatoes. Set aside until liquid is released from potatoes, 20 to 30 minutes. Drain liquid and dry potatoes well.
-
3Mix potato slices, olive oil, garlic powder, and salt until evenly coated.
-
4Spread potato slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
-
5Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Flip fries and cook about 20 more minutes or until crispy and golden.
