cheesy hashbrowns - delicious!
Yum! Love these potatoes...whats not to love? I've added bacon and at times added ham too, to make it more of a meal, than a side! Always add some onion...My mom gave me this recipe many years ago and as always, I had to mess with the recipe a bit...lol!...hope you enjoy it as much as we do... Delicious! Enjoy!

Ingredients For cheesy hashbrowns - delicious!

1 - 28 /32 ozchunky hashbrowns or can use regular / i highly recommend o'brien style chunk potatoes w/ peppers and onions

1 1/4 cwhipping cream or more if desire for the larger bag of hashbrowns

1/2 stickbutter or 4 tablespoons, melted

2 cshedded swiss cheese
-
1 ccheddar cheese - i use sharp

choppedonion - optional
-
pinchthyme, dried
-
pinchnutmeg
-
salt& pepper to taste
How To Make cheesy hashbrowns - delicious!

1Preheat oven to 400 degree F. Place hash browns in a greased 9 x 13 baking dish.

2I then salt, pepper and add the thyme and nutmeg to the whipping cream. Pour over the potatoes.

3Pour melted butter over potatoes.

4I then mix the cheeses and sprinkle them over top of the potatoes, evenly. Usually I sprinkle the top with chives or parsley.

5Bake for 45 - 60 minutes or until potatoes are cooked and top is golden.
