My sister-in-law served these over the 4th of July weekend. Very yummy, and different from the standard baked bean recipes. Thank you to Kathleen!

Ingredients For wyoming beans

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 lb
    bacon - diced and fried half way to done
  • 2 can
    (15 oz) pork and beans with juice
  • 1 can
    kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can
    great northern beans or any other white bean, drained and rinsed
  • 1
    large onion, diced
  • 2 tsp
    apple cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    dry mustard
  • dash
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1 c
    ketchup

How To Make wyoming beans

  • 1
    Cook and drain fat from ground beef. Cook diced bacon until about half way done. Drain fat.

    Place all ingredients in crockpot and cook on high heat until mixture starts to bubble. Then turn heat to low. Cook 4-5 hours.

    You can sub 1 can of lima beans for 1 can of pork and beans if desired.

    Can be baked in 350 degree oven for 1 1/2 - 2 hours, but haven't tried this method yet.
