1 sliceonion, finely chopped

1 clovegarlic, minced

1 oz8 ounce can no salt added tomato sauce

1/4 cdark brown sugar

1 Tbsptomato paste

1 Tbspwhite vinegar

1 tspprepared yellow mustard

1/2 tspgarlic powder
-
1/2 tsponion powder
-
1/2 tsppaprika
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1/4 tspfresh ground black pepper

15 oz1 can navy beans, low sodium, drained and rinsed

1 cwater
How To Make stove-top baked beans
-
1Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring until translucent, 3 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add the tomato sauce, brown sugar, tomato paste, vinegar, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt and black pepper and whisk to combine. Add the beans and water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium low and simmer until the liquid has thickened slightly, about 30 minutes
