Ingredients For passover apple matzo kugel

2 cmatzo farfel

4eggs, well beaten

1/4 csugar

1 tspsalt

5 Tbspmelted butter and cooled

2 tspcinnamon

1/2 cchopped walnuts

2large apples, peeled and sliced

1/2 craisins

1 tsplemon juice

1/2 cwater
How To Make passover apple matzo kugel

1Mix the farfel with 2 of the eggs and 1/2 tsp. of the salt and then toast the mixture over medium low heat in a heavy skillet. Set aside.

2In a medium bowl, beat the remaing 2 eggs and a 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. cinnamon, and 3 tbsps. of the melted cooled butter. Add in the toasted farfel mixture and 1/2 cup water.

3In a greased 8 X 8 baking dish, layer 1/2 the apples, and sprinkle with the lemon juice and a dusting of cinnamon, then add the matza farfel mixture and top with the remaining apples. Then sprinkle with nuts and dust it more cinnamon and pour over the remaining melted butter.

4Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
