jean's sage dressing

This recipe has been a standard in our house for years. My Mother and her Mother before her has made this same recipe for years. However back years ago, a cheap loaf of bread was used. I have also made this a vegetarian stuffing. Just omit the turkey broth & drippings. Use hot water & vegetable broth instead.

Ingredients For jean's sage dressing

  • 1 pkg
    pepperidge farm or brownberry stuffing - 14 ounce
  • 1 sm
    onion, diced
  • 1 Tbsp
    sage, dried
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 1 dash
    salt and pepper
  • turkey drippings
  • hot water or turkey broth

How To Make jean's sage dressing

  • 1
    Mix bread cubes, diced onions, sage, salt, pepper & eggs in large bowl.
  • 2
    Add turkey drippings and hot water or turkey broth to mixture in bowl. Add enough hot water until mixture is very moist.

    Spray dish with Pam cooking spray. Add stuffing and bake until done.
