A delicious cucumber salad or side dish.

Ingredients For creamed cucumbers

  • 6
    medium-sized cucumbers, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 3
    green onions, sliced thin
  • 1 cup
    mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup
    evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup
    5% white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup
    sugar
  • 4 drops
    hot pepper sauce
  • 1 tsp.
    dried parsley flakes
  • 1/4 tsp.
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp.
    pepper
  • 1/4 tsp.
    garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp.
    onion salt

How To Make creamed cucumbers

  • 1
    In a large bowl, add the cucumbers and green onions. (I only added half of the green onion tops, and discarded the rest.)

    Cover the bowl, and let stand at room temperature for 1 hour.

    Combine remaining ingredients, and pour over the cucumber mixture; mix well.

    Refrigerate for several hours before serving.
