Most squash casserole I've ever had is very simple; squash, crackers, cheese. I found this recipe and changed it a little. It turned out pretty good. This makes a big 9x13 pan full since I usually feed a crowd.

Ingredients For savory squash casserole

3 lbsliced yellow squash

2 boxchicken flavored stuffing (i.e. stovetop)

1 cancream of chicken soup

1 cancream of mushroom soup

1 csour cream
-
1 lgonion, diced

1/2 stickmargerine

1 pkgshredded cheddar (3 cup bag)
How To Make savory squash casserole

1Boil squash till slightly tender, drain.

2Sautee diced onions till tender in magerine.

3Mix together soups, sour cream, onions, 1.5 cups of the cheese & onions/magerine.

4Stir in stuffing mixes & squash.

5Spread in 9x13 pan.

6Top with remaining cheese.

7Bake at 350 till cheese on top is browned a little.
