Ingredients For pea casserole

  • 2 can
    drained, party peas
  • 1 can
    water chessnuts-sliced to bite size -undrained
  • 1 jar
    pimento -cut fine
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1 can
    mushroom soup
  • 1 c
    chopped onion
  • 1 c
    chopped celery
  • 1 c
    chopped green pepper
  • 1 can
    chow mein noodles, save some for topping
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make pea casserole

  • 1
    Put butter in a skillet, add onion, green pepper and celery. Cook until tender
  • 2
    Mix skillet mixture with peas, pimientos, water chessnuts, soup and most of the noodles.

    Pour into a baking dish, top with some noodles. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes
