We love baked mac & cheese; everything is better with bacon:) I figured let's try them together however, I needed to take out some of the fat. I came up with this yummy dish it was a hit, I served it with baked chicken and a salad, delish.

Ingredients For macaroni and cheese with bacon – (reduced fat version)

1 lbmacaroni, elbow

1 stickbutter
-
3 Tbspflour

1 Tbspdry mustard

3 cfat free milk

4 csargento shredded reduced fat mexican mix cheese or sharp cheddar

1 lbturkey bacon - cooked and cut up

1 Tbsptastefully simple onion onion

1 tsppepper
-
1/2 citalian bread crumbs
How To Make macaroni and cheese with bacon – (reduced fat version)

1Cook pasta for approx 6 mins, do not over cook, strain and leave in colander

2Melt butter in a pot, add flour and dry mustard, whisk until smooth

3Slowly add milk whisking out the lumps

4Add the cheeses and stir until melted

5Stir in pepper,onion onion,and bacon,

6Return macaroni to the pot of cheese mixture and mix well

7Pour macaroni mixture into a 3 qt oven proof bowl

8Top with the bread crumbs

9Cover bake for 14 mins, remove lid and bake additional 10 mins or until brown and bubbly, remove from oven and ENJOY!!
