Ingredients For garlic cheese grits

1 cquick grits
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
4 cboiling water
-
1 stickbutter, melted

6 ozshredded sharp cheddar cheese, plus 2 oz.

1/2 cmilk
-
2eggs, beaten
-
1 lgclove garlic, minced

salt and pepper, to taste
How To Make garlic cheese grits

1Preheat oven to 350º.

2Stir the grits into the boiling water in a large saucepan.

3Reduce heat and cook, stirring frequently, for 3 to 5 minutes.

4Stir in 6 oz. cheese, eggs, butter, milk, garlic, salt and pepper.

5When cheese has melted, pour the mixture into a greased 2-qt. baking dish. Bake for 1 hour.

6Add remaining 2 oz. cheese on top, return to oven for 5 minutes until cheese has melted and turning golden.
