Ingredients For escalloped cabbage w/cornflake topping

  • 2 c
    crushed cornflakes
  • 1/4 c
    butter, melted
  • 1 pkg
    10-oz pkg. shredded "angel hair" cabbage
  • 1 lg
    sweet onion, halved and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1/2 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1 can
    10.5 oz. can cream of celery soup, undiluted
  • 1 c
    sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

How To Make escalloped cabbage w/cornflake topping

  • 1
    Stir cereal and butter together and spoon half of this mixture into a lightly greased 11 x 7 inch baking dish. Top with cabbage and onion.

    Mix together the milk, mayo and soup; pour over cabbage. Sprinkle with cheese and remaining cereal mixture.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
