1 cpearl barley, uncooked

1 mdonion, chopped

1/2 cbutter, melted

2 cchicken broth

1 1/2 csliced fresh mushrooms

8 ozcan sliced water chestnuts, drained

1/2 cslivered almonds

1/2 cbeef broth
-
1 Tbspdried onion flakes

1/2 tspsalt
How To Make barley bravo

1Saute the barley and onion in butter in a medium skillet over medium heat until the onion is tender. Add chicken broth and the remaining ingredients; stir well.

2Spoon the mixture into a greased 11 x 7 x 1 1/2 inch baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350º for 1 hour or until barley is tender and liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally.
