Here is another recipe from my mom! This is definately a favorite recipe of mine!

Ingredients For barbecue beans

  • 1/2 md
    onion, chopped
  • 1/2 lb
    ground beef (optional but highly recommended)
  • 10 slice
    bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2/3 c
    firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 c
    barbecue sauce
  • 15 oz
    can kidney beans, rinsed
  • 15 oz
    can butter beans, rinsed
  • 15 oz
    can pork and beans, undrained
  • 2 Tbsp
    molasses
  • 2 tsp
    dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    chili powder

How To Make barbecue beans

  • 1
    Cook onion and, if desired, ground beef in a dutch oven, stirring till meat crumbles and is no longer pink; drain. Stir in bacon and remaining ingredients, and spoon into a lightly greased 2 1/2 quart casserole dish. Chill 8 hours if desired (we normally skip chilling it).

    Bake bean mixture at 350* for 1 hour, stirring once.
