I have had this recipe for a long time - don't remember where I got it- but I know it's real good- It is always the first to go at picnics or barbecues- I always double or triple it- even the kids love it!

Ingredients For baked beans with apple strudel

  • 16 oz
    jar of b & m baked beans, any flavor
  • 1 md
    apple, peeled and cored and diced
  • 1/4 c
    bacon, crumbled or packaged real bacon bits
  • 1/2 c
    diced onion
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar, not packed
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, softened
  • 2 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 c
    chopped pecans, toasted, divided

How To Make baked beans with apple strudel

  • 1
    Heat oven to 350^. Spray a 1-quart casserole. Set aside. Combine beans, bacon bits,onions and apple. Pour into prepared casserole. In a small bowl, combine sugar,butter, flour,and cinnamon; mix with fork until crumbly. Stir in pecans. Sprinkle and spread mixture over beans. Bake 20 minutes or until beans are bubbly.
