Mr. P loves rice, it doesn't matter how you cook it he enjoys it. Me, meh it's okay... So, I look for creative ways to make it more likely that I will enjoy it when we have it on our menu. I enjoy this dish. It is very creamy and has tons of flavor.

Ingredients For parmesan rice

  • 1/2 stick
    butter
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 c
    rice
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/3 can
    parmesan cheese

How To Make parmesan rice

  • 1
    put butter and garlic powder in skillet, melt the butter
  • 2
    add rice, stir to coat the rice with the garlic and butter
  • 3
    Add water, milk, and salt. Stir well.

    Bring to a boil, then reduce to low cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.

    Stir in grated parmesan cheese. You can add a splash of ilk to make creamier if desired
