I love rice. Any kind of rice. This recipe, with all of the Italian style seasonings, is just delicious. I like to serve this with a good roasted chicken,

Ingredients For italian rice

1 stickbutter
-
2 Tbspvegetable or canola oil

1-2 slicebacon, crumbled

1 smonion, diced

3 chot chicken broth
-
2 ccooked peas
-
1-1/2 cuncooked long grain rice (i use uncle ben's converted rice -- do not use minute rice)

4 Tbspgrated parmesan cheese

1 tspgarlic powder
-
1 tspitalian seasoning
How To Make italian rice

1In a nonstick skillet, melt butter. Add oil and bacon. Brown onion in the mixture.

2Add broth and peas, cook for 3 minutes.

3Add rice and all seasonings, and cook on low, covered, until rice is cooked entirely, about 25-30 minutes.

4Add Parmesan cheese, and mix thoroughly.
