Ingredients For duck fat rice

  • 1 lb
    chicken bones
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 c
    jasmine rice
  • 4 Tbsp
    duck fat
  • 4 clove
    garlic minced
  • 3 c
    chicken broth
  • 1
    bay leaf
  • 1/2 c
    fresh basil chopped

How To Make duck fat rice

  • 1
    Coat the chicken bones with the salt. Rinse the rice with water until the water runs clear. Set aside.

    Add the duck fat to a large pan. Add the garlic and cook 10 seconds. Add the rice and cook for 1 miniute stirring constantly.

    Add the stock, bay leaves and the bones. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to a simmer and simmer covered about 20 minutes.

    Remove from heat and let sit 10 minutes. Remove the chicken bones and bay leaves. Stir in fresh basil
