Ingredients For au jus mushroom rice

  • 1/4 c
    butter
  • 8 oz
    shitake mushrooms
  • 1 1/2 c
    uncooked long grain rice
  • 32 oz
    beef broth
  • 1 pkg
    au jus gravy mix
  • 2 Tbsp
    minced onion
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • fresh parsley for garnish

How To Make au jus mushroom rice

  • 1
    Place the butter in a pan and let it melt. Add the mushrooms and rice and cook until golden about 5 minutes.

    Add remaining ingredients except for parsley. Bring to a boil. Reduce to low heat and cover. Let simmer until all liquid is absorbed about 20 minutes.

    Uncover and Remove from heat and let sit 5 minutes. Fluff with fork season with salt and pepper. Garnish with fresh parsley to serve.
