Ingredients For almond lime rice pilaf

2 Tbspunsalted butter

1/4 cfinely chopped yellow onion

1/3 cslivered almonds
-
1 clong grain white rice, uncooked

2 cchicken broth
-
1/4 clime juice
-
2 Tbspsoy sauce
-
ground black pepper, to taste

2 tspgrated lime zest
-
fesh chopped parsely, for garnish
How To Make almond lime rice pilaf

1n a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Stir in the onion and almonds. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes or until the onion is softened and the almonds are golden, stirring occasionally.

2Add the rice; cook and stir for 1 minute.

3Slowly stir in the broth, lime juice, soy sauce and pepper. Bring to a boil.

4Cover, reduce heat to low, simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.

5Stir in lime zest, fluff with a fork and garnish with parsley. Serve.
