Ingredients For swiss steak with gravy

2 lbround steak

1/2 csliced onion

1/2 csliced green pepper

1 can14 oz. diced tomatoes garlic/onion flavor

1 tspseason salt

1 pkgbrown gravy (add water as directed)

3 Tbspflour
-
1 Tbspvegetable or olive oil

1 dashsalt and pepper
-
1 tspcornstarch and 2 tsp water mixed in small bowl
How To Make swiss steak with gravy

1Tenderize round steak. Sprinkle seasoned salt on one side.

2Sprinkle flour on both sides of round steak. Brown in oil on both sides. Remove beef to plate. Add onions and green peppers to pan and saute for 1 minute. Then add gravy, water, can of tomatoes, dash of salt and pepper. Bring to a boil.

3Return meat to pan and cover. Cook on simmer or low boil for 2 hours until meat is tender. Last 10 min. add mixtures of 1 tsp of cornstarch and 2 tsp of water to thicken and make gravy.

4Serve with mashed potatoes, rice or noodles.
