With Thanksgiving coming up I though I would post an old recipe I am sure everyone has, but if not here goes.

Ingredients For sweetpotato casserole

  • 2 c
    mashed sweetpotatoes, i use canned sometimes
  • 2
    eggs
  • 3/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 3/4 stick
    butter
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1/2 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp
    cimmamon
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • TOPPING
  • 3/4 c
    coconut
  • 1/2 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 3/4 stick
    butter, melted
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla

How To Make sweetpotato casserole

  • 1
    Mix together all the ingredients listed before the Topping list and put into a casserole dish and bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees
  • 2
    Topping: melt butter in sauce pan and add the rest of the ingredients for the topping. Mix well.

    Remove casserole from oven after 20 minutes and spread on the topping mixture and return to oven for 10 minutes longer.

    If I used canned sweetpotatoes, I drain them very well.
