Just wanted to create a new take on scalloped potatoes. Came up with this recipe and found out that my family LOVED IT! Now, it has become a regular dish in our home.

Ingredients For sweet and sour potatoes

  • 3 lg
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1/4 c
    green tabasco sauce
  • 1/4 c
    packed light brown sugar
  • 4 lg
    yellow-fleshed, such as yukon potatoes, peeled and shredded
  • 2 lg
    tart apples, peeled and shredded
  • 1 c
    finely shredded cheddar cheese

How To Make sweet and sour potatoes

    Preheat oven to 350-degrees Farenheit. Well-grease or spray with a non-stick cooking spray a 13-inch X 9-inch X 2-inch baking dish. Set aside.

    Whisk eggs, milk, tabasco sauce, and sugar in a large bowl until well-blended. Add potatoes, apples, and cheese; thoroughly mix. Evenly spread mixture into prepared pan.

    Bake, uncovered for 30-35 minutes or golden brown. Serve immediately and enjoy!
