I haven't boughten bags of frozen fries since I don't know when. I make these instead, and my family "expects" them when I fix sloppy Joes. The kind of potato you use makes a big difference. I like the yukon gold the best. any potato will work tho

Ingredients For spicy oven fries

  • 6 md
    potatoes, washed and cut inyo fries (leave skins on )
  • 2 Tbsp
    extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 tsp
    lawrey's seasoning salt
  • 1 tsp
    each chili powder,white pepper, mrs. dash

How To Make spicy oven fries

  • 1
    wash potatoes well, scrub off dirt.dry with paper towels and cut with french fry cutter, or by hand in consistent size pieces. you can also cut unto thick slices.

    place in a bowl. pour oil over and add spices. toss by tumbling bowl with hand until potatoes are well coated

    place parchment paper on large baking sheet and spread potatoes evenly in single layer

    bake in a hot 425 degree oven for 45 minutes or more until crispy and golden brown. Serve with your favorite brand ketchup or, I sometimes serve the slices topped with sour cream and chopped onions
