Ingredients For smothered potatoes

  • 6 md
    white (or red) potatoes
  • 2 md
    oinions
  • 1/2 stick
    butter
  • pinch
    salt and pepper to taste
  • parsley (optional)

How To Make smothered potatoes

  • 1
    Wash potatoes and thinly slice. Slice onions. Cut butter in slices and place in iron skillet along with onion slices and potatoes in that order on stove top.

    Sprinkle with salt and pepper and let simmer until potatoes are tender. Stir several times during cooking to distribute seasonings. Serve immediately.
