Ingredients For roasted garlic mashed potatoes

1/2 Tbspcoarse sea salt, or more to taste

3 lbunpeeled red potatoes, washed and scrubbed

3 Tbspbutter
-
2 Tbspchive butter
-
1 lghead of garlic, roasted and mashed

freshly ground black pepper, to taste (i always use mixed peppercorns)

1/2 clight sour cream, or to taste
-
1/4 cmilk
-
1/4 to 1/2 tspgarlic salt, or to taste
How To Make roasted garlic mashed potatoes

1In a large pot, add some coarse sea salt then potatoes. Pour in cold water to about 2 inches above.

2Cover and bring to a boil. When it gets there, remove the lid and continue cooking until the potatoes are tender, about 17 to 20 minutes.

3Drain potatoes well and mash them. Add both butters and mash again.

4Add roasted garlic and freshly ground black pepper; mash once again.

5Add sour cream and milk; stir to blend; taste and adjust if necessary. Add garlic salt if wanted and stir well before serving.
