Ingredients For quick shrimp chowder

  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 md
    onion (chopped)
  • 2 can
    cream of potato soup, undiluted
  • 3 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground red pepper
  • 1 1/2 lb
    medium fresh shrimp (peeled)
  • 4 oz
    shredded monterey jack cheese
  • parsley as garnish

How To Make quick shrimp chowder

  • 1
    Melt butter in Dutch oven. Add onion and saute 8 minutes.
  • 2
    Stir in soup, milk and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  • 3
    Add shrimp~reduce heat to simmer, stirring often until shrimp turn pink.

    Stir in cheese until melted.
