My sister and I make pierogis each holiday and mine never seem to turn out. Last year, I gave up! I found this recipe and it's much easier and tastes very close to homemade pierogis!

Ingredients For pierogi casserole

1 8 oz. pkglasagna noodles

3 mdchopped onions
-
1/2 lbbutter or margerine
-
1/2 lbsharp cheddar cheese(like cracker barrel aged vermont

7-8potatoes or 1 tub of pre-made mashed potatoes
How To Make pierogi casserole

1Cook noodles as package directs.

2Sautee onions in the butter.

3If using real potaoes, make as usual for mashed potatoes.

4Chunk cheese and melt cheese into potatoes.

5In a greased lasagna pan, layer in this order until ingredients are gone. Noodles, potatoes... Pour all onions/butter over the top.

6Bake 15-20 min. at 350.
