This is the way that my Mama cooked the new potatoes that she grew in her garden.

Ingredients For new potatoes

  • 8
    new potatoes
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1 Tbsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1/2 stick
    margarine

How To Make new potatoes

  • 1
    Scrape new potatoes, cover with water, and cook until tender. Let the water cook down.

    Add margarine, salt, and pepper.
  • 3
    Mix flour and water together into a glass jar with a lid. Shake until combined well (no lumps). Mix with potatoes and continue cooking until sauce is thickened.
