Mashed sweet potatoes are one of our favorites sides especially in the fall and winter months. I love to serve this side with Ham Steak with Honey Mustard Glaze and Green Bean Bundles with Bacon.

Ingredients For mashed sweet potatoes

4 lbsweet potatoes peeled and cut in 2 inch chunks

1/2 cbutter cut in 1 tablespoon segments (salted or unsalted)

1/2 cheavy whipping cream

2 Tbspreal maple syrup

salt and pepper to taste
How To Make mashed sweet potatoes

1Boil the potatoes in a large pot of lightly salted water for 15-20 minutes or until fork tender. Drain very well.

2Place them in a food processor with the butter, cream and maple syrup. Pulse until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
