These mashed potatoes are SO good and loaded with flavor!I have made them every Thanksgiving for the last 3 years and the family loves them! Another thing I love about them is you can make them the day before and then just pop them in the oven the next day! These potatoes will NOT dissapoint! ENJOY!! :)

Ingredients For make-ahead party mashed potatoes

  • 1
    (15.3) oz. box hungry jack instant potatoes (thats what i use)
  • 6 c
    water
  • 1 1/2
    sticks of butter
  • 2 tsp
    garlic salt
  • 2 tsp
    onion salt
  • 2 c
    milk
  • 2
    8 oz. packages softened cream cheese
  • 16 oz
    container of sour cream
  • paprika
  • chives

How To Make make-ahead party mashed potatoes

    Heat oven to 350*. Spray 13x9 inch baking dish with non-stick spray; set aside. Heat water,butter,garlic & onion salts to a boil in a large saucepan. Remove from heat. Add cream cheese, milk, and sour cream. Stir until smooth. Stir in potatoes & mix all ingredients until combined. Spread into baking dish. Sprinkle with paprika and bake 1 hour until golden brown.

    REMEMBER- Casserole can be refrigerated for up to 48 hours. If desired, I sprinkle green onions on the top right before serving! ENJOY!
