Ingredients For hungarian paprika potatoes

  • 1 lg
    onion, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter
  • 6 md
    potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 Tbsp
    sweet hungarian paprika
  • 1 lg
    green pepper, chopped
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 c
    water, or more if needed

How To Make hungarian paprika potatoes

  • 1
    In a heavy saucepan, sauté onion in butter until transparent. Add potatoes, paprika, green pepper, salt, pepper, and 1 cup of water.

    Continue cooking over low heat until the potatoes are tender, adding a little more water if necessary. Don’t stir, but shake the pan occasionally, as stirring can break up the potatoes.

    Serve warm.
