I'm new to the site and thought I would start with posting a few seasonal favorites. This is my favorite holiday yams recipe. SO EASY and sweet enough w/out being too sweet. Enjoy!

Ingredients For holiday yams

  • 4 LARGE can
    yams (drained) or about 5+lbs of fresh cooked, peeled yams cut into lg chunks.
  • 1 c
    heavy cream (or half & half)
  • 1 stick
    of softened butter
  • 1 1/2 c
    light brown sugar
  • 1 c
    walnuts or pecans

How To Make holiday yams

  • 1
    Place drained yams in large shallow baking pan. Mix together butter, cream and brown sugar and pour over yams. Cover and bake at 400' for about 20 min's. Uncover & sprinkle with nuts. Bake for additional 10 min's.
