Ingredients For gruyere potatoes

1 1/2 cmilk

2 Tbspbutter

salt and pepper

3 mdbaking potatoes

1 tspgarlic, finely minced

1/2 cgruyere cheese or swiss cheese, freshly grated
How To Make gruyere potatoes

1Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

2Combine milk, butter, salt and pepper to taste in saucepan. Bring to a boil.

3Rinse potatoes and peel.

4Cut into 1/8 inch slices and drop them into hot milk mixture. Add garlic. Partially cover and return to a boil.

5Simmer 15 minutes.

6Pour potatoes into a buttered 1 1/2 quart baking dish and sprinkle cheese on top.

7Bake until sauce thickens and top is golden brown.
