I KNOW ITS SUMMER BUT SOMETIMES U STILL GET A TASTE 4 CANDIED YAMS 4 DINNER. I HAVE DIFFERENTS WAYS OF MAKING IT THIS 1 OF THEM. HOPE U LIKE IT.

Ingredients For grace's candied yams

  • 2 large cans of yams. 1 bag mini marshmallows.
  • 1-2 cups brown sugar[2 taste. i like it sweet}
  • about 1/2 a jar of smuckers caramel ice cream topping. [ small jar, a little more if u want it sweeter, then 2 taste]

How To Make grace's candied yams

    HEAT UP THE 2 CANS OF YAMS,TIL HOT. DRAIN. PUT IN LARGE BOWL. GET A POTATOE MASHER AMD MASH IT ALL UP LIKE MASHED POTATOES.

    THEN ADD BROWN SUGAR AND CARAMEL. MIX WELL. PUT N LARGE BAKING DISH OR FOIL PAN. [SPRAY WITH PAM]. PRE-HEAT OVEN 350. PUT MINI MARSHMALLOWS ON TOP N EVEN ROWS.

    PLACE N OVEN TIL MARSHMALLOWS R LITELY TOASTED. AND HOT THREW. SERVE HOT/WARM.

    IF UR DIABETIC USE SPLENDAS BROWN SUAGR, AND SUGAR FREE SMUCKERS CARAMEL TOPPING. JUST BCOS U R DIABETIC DON'T MEAN U CAN'T HAVE CANDIED YAMS. JUST WATCH THE YAM INTAKE, COS THEY R A STARCH. AND STARCHES TURN 2 SUGAR.
