Ingredients For ginger bread sweet potatoes

4 cdiced sweet potatoes

1 cminced pears (about 1 medium)

1/4 cminced dried cranberries

2 to 4 Tbspbrown sugar or agave nectar, to taste

1/2 tspdried ginger

1/8 tspcinnamon

1/8 tspallspice, ground

1/8 tspnutmeg
-
1 pinchcloves
-
1 pinchsalt

1/2 cminced gingerbread cookies, optional
How To Make ginger bread sweet potatoes

1Put the sweet potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with water.

2Bring to a boil, then lower to medium high heat and cook until easily mashed with a fork. Drain in a colander.

3Put the potatoes in a bowl and mash, adding a tablespoon or 2 of water if needed.

4Mix in the pears, cranberries, spices and salt. Sprinkle each serving with gingerbread cookie crumbs.
