Ingredients For funeral potatoes

  • 2 lb
    frozen hash browns, thawed
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 2 can
    condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 pt
    sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 3/4 c
    onions, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 2 c
    longhorn cheese, grated and firmly packed
  • 1 c
    cornflakes, crushed
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter, melted

How To Make funeral potatoes

  • 1
    Saute onion in butter until translucent. Mix all ingredients except cornflakes and 4 T. butter, together. Put potato mixture in 13x9-inch baking pan. Combine cornflakes and butter, sprinkle evenly over top of casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes. Makes 6-8 servings.
