Another favorite from my school days. We always traded something on our tray for another one of these. Next time I make them, will share a photo.

Ingredients For ~ dutch potatoes ~

  • 6 md
    potatoes
  • 6
    kosher weiners
  • 6 Tbsp
    bacon drippings
  • 1 c
    milk
  • Butter
    your taste
  • Salt
    & pepper to taste

How To Make ~ dutch potatoes ~

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Peel potatoes and with an apple corer, remove centers of potato. Pull a wiener through each potato. Place bacon drippings in a baking dish, big enough to hold them. Arrange the potatoes in the dish. Add milk and bake until tender. Season with butter, salt & pepper.
