This was given to me by my mother who went to meet our Lord in 1990. So easy! Thanks Mom! BTW - Use fresh grated cheese. Packaged grated cheese does not melt well when combined wit the butter and milk

Ingredients For cheesy hash browns

  • 12 oz
    shredded hash browns
  • 1/2 c
    (fresh) grated cheese
  • 1/4 c
    whole or evaporated milk
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make cheesy hash browns

  • 1
    PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES
  • 2
    Place potatoes in a single layer in buttered baking dish.
  • 3
    Sprinkle with Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4
    Melt butter, add cheese and milk over low heat
  • 5
    Pour over frozen potatoes and bake ~ 350 degree oven for 30 - 35 minutes
