cajun french fries

Very simple and really crunchy. I found this recipe awhile ago and jotted it down. I like mine extra spicy so I soak my cut potatoes in hot sauce for a few seconds before shaking them in the dry batter :)

Ingredients For cajun french fries

2 lbs russet potatoes; cut into fries

1 cup corn flour

2 tbsp cornmeal

2 tbsp tony's cajun seasoning

oil

salt
How To Make cajun french fries

1Place cut potatoes into a large bowl of cold water. Soak for 10 minutes.

2In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the corn flour, corn meal, and Cajun seasoning. Shake the bag to blend. Drain the potatoes, but leave them wet.

3Place the fresh cut fries in the plastic bag with the cajun seasoning, and shake to coat.

4Heat the oil in a deep-fryer to 375°F. Cook french fries in hot oil for 7 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown.

5Remove fries from the fryer to paper towels to drain.

6Season with a small amount of salt. Enjoy your cajun fries!
