Got my insperration from the book called The Skillet Full. I then made a few changes to the recipe. I make these a lot when a bunch of us guys go on a fishing trip....I have also made these for our church camp outs.

Ingredients For bob's dutch oven potatoes.

  • 5 lb
    potatoes,cut into wedges.
  • 16 oz
    mushrooms,your choice.
  • 3 stick
    real butter
  • 5 clove
    garlic,sliced.
  • 2
    bay leaves
  • 4
    rosemary sprigs,and thyme spris
  • hot sauce to taste
  • 1 tsp
    choped basil
  • 5 slice
    bacon
  • 3 md
    onions

How To Make bob's dutch oven potatoes.

    In a 7qt cast iron dutch oven.Cook bacon till abought half cooked.remove and cut up bacon...Add mushrooms to bacon drippings and cook for 3 to 5 minutes... Now add every thing else to the oven including the bacon.add a pinch of salt and pepper. Give it a stir. Cover and bake for abought 3 hours.

    At abought 2 1/2 hours uncover. Add a little more salt and pepper. Add 1/2 to 1 tablespoon of hot sauce,to tast. Stir and recover and finish baking 1/2 to 1 hour.Or untill tender.
