So much better than the packaged variety and easy to make. I sometimes add cubed, cooked chicken to make a main dish. Otherwise we like this as a side dish to chicken or steak.

Ingredients For noodles romanoff

  • 8 oz
    wide egg noodles
  • 2 c
    sour cream
  • 1/2 c
    parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1 Tbsp
    chives, snipped (i only use when fresh are available)
  • 1 tsp
    kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    freshly ground white or black pepper
  • 1 lg
    clove garlic, crushed
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter

How To Make noodles romanoff

  • 1
    Cook noodles, drain return to pan and set aside.

    While noodles are cooking stir together sour cream, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, chives, salt, pepper and garlic.

    Add butter to drained warm noodles. Fold in sour cream mixture. Arrange on a warm platter and sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese.
