Ingredients For mozzarella spaghetti with peas & bacon

  • 4 slice
    bacon
  • 3 Tbsp
    each butter and flour
  • 2 c
    heavy cream
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon zest
  • 1 c
    shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8 oz
    spaghetti
  • 1 c
    frozen peas
  • salt pepper and a pinch of nutmeg

How To Make mozzarella spaghetti with peas & bacon

    Place foil on a baking sheet. Lay the bacon out on the foil and bake in 350 degree oven until crisp. Remove and chop into pieces.

    Cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water until el dente. Add the peas in about the last 5 minutes and drain.

    In a sauce pan add the butter and let melt. Whisk in the flour and cook until browned about 5 minutes. Slowly whisk in the heavy cream. Stir in the lemon zest . Stir in the Mozzarella cheese.

    Once the cheese melts stir bacon. Taste and season with salt and pepper. Add the nutmeg. Stir in the spaghetti and peas and serve immediately.
